For the people pricing the work

Stop chasing
prices.
Keep the job moving.

Waiting on a sub’s price holds up your estimate. Repeated texts interrupt the sub and can lead to rushed numbers. Use prices the sub has already confirmed, with their permission.

Two sides of the same job

A useful tool for the sub.
A better way forward for the GC.

Fewer repeat requests. More considered prices.

Your numbers.
Without the rush.

You are busy doing the work. Set and confirm your prices as you quote, then reuse them. Fewer repeat requests mean less pressure to pull a number together while you are on another job.

  • Start with one job. Describe it in your own words.
  • Stay in charge. Confirm every new or changed price.
  • Get back to them. Copy the saved quote into your text.

Get a job price from
the subs you work with.

For work covered by a sharing sub’s confirmed prices and conditions, get a job quote without asking them to price it again. Missing prices and unusual work still need their input.

  • Invite your own subs. A referral connects you; sharing is their choice.
  • Keep the sources clear. Choose one sharing sub per trade.
  • Build your bid. Review trade totals and your company markups.

Before you start

Fair questions.
Straight answers.

Built around the way work gets priced: the sub knows the number; the GC needs an answer.

Is it going to guess what I should charge?

No. It uses your confirmed prices. If a price is missing, it asks you. You review the scope, quantities and prices before completing a quote. The app calculates the total.

Do I have to type in my entire price list?

No. Start by describing one real job. Answer missing-price questions as they come up, then confirm what gets saved. Editing your book and importing a supported spreadsheet or text PDF are optional. Scanned PDFs are not supported.

Can the GC see my whole price book?

A GC gets job-specific, itemized quotes only after you enable sharing with that named company. It cannot browse your whole book or private notes. A referral link alone does not enable sharing. Platform-admin support access is a separate matter described in the development privacy notice.

What if I stop sharing or change a price?

Revoking sharing stops new requests and blocks renewed access to the affected pricing in GC history. It cannot recall a text or screenshot already delivered. Price changes apply to future quotes; completed quotes preserve the amounts used.

What happens when a price is missing from a GC quote?

The job stays incomplete. The selected sub must confirm the missing price before a complete quote can be made. PriceDesk does not substitute market rates or silently use another sub.

Does this replace my accounting or scheduling app?

No. This version focuses on pricing work. It does not include accounting, scheduling, automated quote delivery or automatic tax, discount and minimum-charge rules. You copy the saved quote into your own message.

What happens after my sub trial ends?

The 14-day trial starts once, at signup. Without active access, new quoting and book changes pause. You retain access to your retained book and saved quotes, book export and sharing revocation. Paid public release is disabled during development.
